Another year comes to a close & a new one is beginning, I wonder just what it will bring to us all, 2011 has been a mixed year for me & i have to say i am grateful for everything it has taught me.
Having been diagnosed with Coeliacs disease late this year my life has changed tremendously, for the better i might add with haste, so i can't eat certain things, no real loss, as in return i get to feel a whole lot better, not 100% there yet but heading in the right direction, that is a great feeling!
I got burgled in the summer, they took a lot of things & turned the house upside down, but all of the things that really matter in life were fine, Connor, the dogs, Thomas the cat & our hamster, we are all that really matters, we have a great alarm installed now & i don't take any chances, so another lesson learned & appreciated.
Also the difficulties within the world of some Scottie owners in the UK, i have re evaluated who i choose to call friends & feel blessed to have some really good ones, people with solid values in life about real life issues. A hard lesson this one has been, but i hold my head high as an honest, straight forward person & do not miss the awfulness of some of the antics that have occurred. I love my breed, i hope it has every chance to thrive in the new year & the shadows of 2011 cease to cast shade on what deserves to be a bright future.

I have had some wonderful moments during 2011 also, Connor starting school & taking to it like a duck to water, my first parents evening, shedding a tear or two of pride at what this little chap has achieved.
Making up one new Berrybreeze Champion, that being Supertramp (Jinny) also gaining 2 Challenge Certificates each on Berrybreeze Dizzee Rascal (Ronnie) & Berrybreeze Glad All Over (Gladys) she also has a BOB, Gladys is only 14 months old currently so quite an achievement for a baby.
Pebbles has had a great start to her show career & we have made some lovely new friends in Mini Wire Dachshunds.
Plus to my absolute delight on this New Years Eve i still have my beloved Martha (Ch Berrybreeze Fire Cracker) here to bring in the new year with us, she is my pride & joy at 13 years, 7 months & 26 days old.... who says dreams can't come true!

We would like to wish all of our friends old & new a New Year full of hopes & dreams coming true for you, good health & much happiness. We send you smiles & hugs. For the friends we have still to meet, we look forward to that day.

Happy New Year!

I thought perhaps i ought to introduce a couple of different VIPs to break up the black coloured photos!
Here we have Thomas the silver & black spotted British Shorthair cat that we bought from our friends Margaret & Sandra of the Barrenger Bassets & British Shorthairs & Sizzles (Thythe Sizzles with Berrybreeze) who came to us from Steve & Sally Williams from Ross on Wye. Both of these are the best of friends, although Thomas is now fully grown & much bigger than Sizz, he had a major sulk when Sizzles became a mum as her attentions were on her new family rather than him, it took him a very long time to accept her daughter Pebbles (Berrybreeze Pebbles) but now they are also the very best of friends.

Thomas has a number of hobbies, attacking my feet when i am asleep is one of the not so appealing ones that he takes enormous pleasure from, one of his recent activities involves the christmas tree, he enjoys a branch almost at the top & i am amazed that he hasn't knocked the whole thing over.

Sizzles is much more of a lady & she prefers her life to be much more comfortable & relaxing, a bit like me really, keep us warm, fed & loved & we are quite happy with our lot in life.

Berrybreeze Pebbles on the left is Sizzles daughter, Martha, My beloved Champion Berrybreeze Fire Cracker (13 years & 7 months old) is in the middle & Sizzles on the right, i have lots to tell you about Martha, so i will save that for another day.

I thought i would introduce you to Gladys, she is a 14 month old Scottish Terrier whose other name is Berrybreeze Glad All Over, she is a tornado of a Scottie & although she can be a delightful sweetheart she can also be the devil in disguise. Most of the time i wouldn't have her any other way, but once in a while i sometimes ponder the idea of a dog that you hardly notice is there, i soon snap out of that way of thinking though, as what is the point in a dog you hardly know is there!

Gladys has gained 2 Challenge Certificates from puppy classes here in the UK, she needs one more to become a UK Champion. My thoughts were that she could spend the winter maturing & taking life easy.... Gladys has other ideas, like Peter Pan she has no intentions of growing up & why would she want to take it easy when there is so much of life to live & so many Christmas presents to play with & treats to chew? I suppose she does have a point there. I will update on here the further adventures of Gladys.
How exciting this is for me, my very first attempt at Blogging!
I decided to update my web site today, (to be honest i have decided that many times before today also, sadly never getting around to completing the update) it is hideously out of date & i have spent today creating a new one, it has taken me hours & it is still not ready to upload, the next thing i find myself doing is this blog!
I have a feeling this may just be a little more fun & interactive also. Above is a photo of Jinny, otherwise known as Champion Berrybreeze Supertramp, she is one of the reasons i haven't made a great deal of progress with the site today, she has been in real Super Tramp mode & has ensured her naughty behaviour has kept me busy keeping an eye on her & the other trouble makers rather than completing my chosen task for the day.
I will try to introduce you to the rest of my animal family as time goes by, i hope you will enjoy what we get up to.
